5 Daily Steps to Rediscover Yourself and Pivot Your Life Mid-Year

Your New Year’s resolution died a long time ago, and if you’re not using the mid-year point as a mini reset, then you’re missing an opportunity.

I don’t live by arbitrary dates for goal-setting, but they certainly can be useful when you’re tired of your current day-to-day life and you’re itching for a pivot. However, now is not the time to jump into setting more unaligned goals because more than likely there’s a reason you did not hit the last ones you set.

If you’re truly ready to amplify your goals and make them aligned for your authentic self and ideal lifestyle, then spending time to rediscover yourself every day must be the focus.

Why?

Because, so often we find ourselves living someone else’s version of “life” when we’ve disconnected from our authenticity, core values, and true desires. This is the underlying reason unaligned goals are set in the first place.

When you intuitively reconnect with yourself, your life inevitably changes.

Feeling the call to change your life is the Universe whispering to you that it’s time for you to start using your gifts and stepping into your purpose. And as we glide into the mid-year point in July, here are 5 daily steps to incorporate now to do just that:

#1 Start Your Day With Mindful Meditation

Making the time to connect with yourself first thing in the morning is a great way to start your day on a high note. While some prefer a silent meditation, others prefer a more active meditation with guided audio or breathwork. The choice is yours and knowing your human design can be helpful in choosing, as well as experimenting. Whatever you choose, making the decision to prioritize yourself not only calms your nervous system, but also supports you in easing into the day.

#2 Self-reflect with journaling

Some people hate journaling because they don’t know what to write or simply feel overwhelmed by it. But you can free-write, use guided prompts, or even audio-journal if you don’t want to write. But the most important thing is to have a space to be honest with yourself as you reflect. You can write about your thoughts, feelings, situations you’re experiencing, dreams, desires, etc. As you write, it will reveal patterns that are influencing your current life path, helping you align more closely with your true self.

#3 Practice Gratitude

If you aren’t where you want to be in life right now, it’s normal to feel disappointed. But expressing gratitude keeps you connected to all that is going right in your life, even when it seems small. And focusing on this helps you align with the higher frequency necessary to become who you want to become and experience all that you want to experience. Try reflecting on 3 things you’re grateful for every day and avoid getting pulled into a current of despair.

#4 Revisit Your Core Values

If you haven’t gotten clear on your core values in the past, there’s no greater time than the present. Your core values are the guiding beliefs that lead you in an intuitively designed life. Living authentically starts with making choices that resonate with your human design and the life you’d like to create for yourself.

#5 Check In With Your Intuition To Ensure Your Goals Are Intentional + True To Self

Your goals need to mirror your true desires and your unique human design, not someone else’s expectations or society’s standards. Every day, revisit your goals, ask yourself if they align with who you truly are and adjust as needed. Don’t be afraid to let go of any goals that no longer feel right for you.

When you reconnect with your authenticity and understand your human design, you will start to experience changes in your life that feel profound and empowered. But it all starts with taking the time to rediscover who you truly are, one day at a time, and transform your life from within.
